Season Summary
The 2025-26 YISS Boys’ Varsity Volleyball season was a historic and inspiring one for the Guardians. With strong leadership the team finished second in the regular season, third at the ACSC Tournament, and capped off the year by winning the KAIAC Cup Tournament Championship, which was the school’s first KAIAC championship for VBV since 2012. Especially after the disappointing finals loss to SFS last year, this was redemption for a team that put in the work to get back to the championship game.
Throughout the year, the players demonstrated outstanding teamwork, effort, and character, playing every match with integrity and a shared desire to give glory to God. Individual performances also stood out: Dylan Lee and Ace Baek earned First Team All-Conference honors, while Andy Yu was named to the Second Team All-Conference. At the ACSC Tournament, Keado Frederick and Aaron Kim were recognized as All-Tournament selections. At the KAIAC Cup, David Jin, Keado Frederick, Ace Baek, and Jeremy Lee were all named to the All-Tournament Select Team. Ace Baek received the Best Passer Award, Aaron Kim was honored as Best Setter, and Keado Frederick was named the Cup Tournament MVP.
