Season Summary
Overall, the 2016-17 boys season was a much improved season from the previous year. The many hours of off-season work put in individually by the boys showed results on the court. The guys started very strong, winning the pre-season Korea Classic Tournament involving SIS, KIS and TCIS.
The season itself was a bit of a roller-coaster, with splits with SFS, OAHS, and DHS. This placed the guys in the middle of the pack at the end of the season. They were true to form in the tournament, beating TCIS but falling to HHS in the semis and losing the 3rd place game, ending the tournament in 4th as well.
At ACSC, the boys struggled through a good pool, losing all 3 game fairly close as well as the first round of the bracket vs Faith. However, they came back to take it to ICS (Hong Kong) in the loser bracket. With a final loss vs Grace, the Guardians ended in 6th for the tournament.
While tournament results were disappointing, the guys started buying into the team system and philosophy and look to continue the growth next year.
