Season Summary
The season started November 11th and the first game was a friendly against KIS on November 13th. This was a good opportunity to see how the girls played and gauge where they were at as a team. One of the game highlights that stands out was the second game against SFS. After losing 28-61 the first time, the girls only lost by 4 points 34-38 the second go round. This showed the determination that this team was capable of and that they would continue to fight and not give up. Two days later the girls took on Humphreys for the first time and lost 35-45, but they played extremely well as a team and everyone kept the level of play high for the majority of the game. Unfortunately the season ended early due to coronavirus concerns and both tournaments (KAIAC and ACSC) were cancelled. It was sad for the seniors to not get the recognition and reward for all their hard work this season and past seasons at these tournaments, but they ended on a positive note with a lock in that added some closure and celebration to the end of the season. The ladies ended the season 7-9 overall and 4-6 in conference play, securing 4th place in the KAIAC blue division. Of course as competitors, the players wish they could have done better, but overall the season was a positive experience for all involved.
