Season Summary
Another season is in the books for the YISS Varsity Swim Team! The YISS Swim Team made a big splash on April 26th and 27th when we hosted the KAIAC championships here at YISS. There are 10 schools and approximately 200 athletes that participate in KAIAC swimming.
After solid regular season finishes of: Girls 3rd, Boys 4th, and Combined 3rd. The YISS Varsity Swim Team laid it all on the line and outperformed expectations to finish Girls 3rd, Boys 2nd, and combined 2nd! This is the best performance in YISS Swimming history. The Team also received the “Team Spirit Award” which is voted on by the coaches of all the teams. Above average optimism is required to simply participate in a grueling sport like swimming. The YISS Swim Team has a special reputation of going above and beyond by lifting each other up with cheers and encouragement whenever possible.
