Season Summary
The boys did it again, finishing with a winning record on their way to a top 5 finish. The boys' goal through the season was to beat one of the big 3: SFS, SIS, and SAHS. While they did fail to accomplish this, they gave SAHS a good scare in their last match of the season. Overall, the guys earned 4th for the season and tournament as well as earning 2nd place for small schools at Far East. Senior Captains Steven Song and Andrew H. Park (also 4 year veterans) led the team with their hard work and good attitudes throughout the season. Jun and the rest of the boys continued to put in the hard work through the off-season. All the seeds ended the season at the 4th spot for their respective seeds. The returners, along with new-comer Donghyun Koo, really strengthened and gave depth to the team.
The Far East team of Jun, Steven, Alex Kwon, and Donghyun approached that tournament with high hopes, especially with the news of the split large and small school divisions. The draw for the 4 boys seeds (2 singles, 2 doubles) would pit the guys against defending champs St. Mary's in the 2nd round for all four. The only seed to advance out of the 2nd round was the doubles team of Jun Lee and Alex Kwon. This team would lose to SAHS in the quarters. Alex also advance to the quarters in mixed doubles with partner Annie Song. It was a good run and good enough for 2nd in the small schools division for the tournament.
