2021-22

Season Summary

This season was the first time in 3 years that the Guardian Angels would be able to participate in sideline cheer or do a performance. They had a completely new squad, no seniors returners from pre-Covid-19, or set dates for sideline cheer during the season. However; they had a large turnout for season tryouts with a range of very talented ladies. From day one everyone put forth their best efforts and made it a priority to not just come out to practice, but to also form friendships and bond with one another in a way that the team hasn't been able to in the past. 

With building relationships as the foundation of the team, each practice became more fun and productive leading up to the virtual competition. The girls had many cancellations and were not able to join sideline cheer during the regular basketball season but were able to develop many foundation skills related to stunting, dance, and cheer. By the end of the season the awesome Captains worked together to create a routine for the virtual recording so that the girls could compete. The competition was tough, but the team was able to participate with their best work and a strong foundation for next year's squad as they hopefully return to full, in-person competition.
