Season Summary
In many ways this was a difficult season with so many breaks in school in which the team was unable to practice, the number of players missing time, and the limited games. The team was just happy they were able to get some kind of season in, but it was hard to improve throughout the course of the season. The boys showed perseverance, and although they were not playing well late in the season, they were able to play well enough to win their last two games.
The theme for the season was "Be perfect," based on Matthew 5:21-48. Of course the message is, people cannot be perfect like God, and that is why we need Jesus. In life, people need Jesus because of their imperfections. "Being perfect" here means to strive toward the perfect model and depend on others to bring you up. The same is true in basketball.
