Season Summary
This season was a very good season and challenging in many ways. With pretty much the whole team returning from last season the girls were able to build upon what they accomplished last year into this year. Last year's freshmen, now sophomores began to contribute on a more consistent basis with fewer mistakes. The seniors were used to being the leaders on and off the court, so it wasn't a surprise to them when they needed to step things up and were more willing to do so. Some quality juniors joined the rotation and a couple of freshmen that will be quality players for the program for years to come. The theme for the season was "All In." The girls began to understand what it means to be committed to the team, to the game, to family and friends, to God, and to getting better. The highlights of the season were: - Beating Seoul Foreign - They had a down year, but this is the first time in the last 4 years that the girls have beaten them. They have been close numerous times but this was a first. And they did it in convincing fashion. - Finishing 2nd in the conference and tourney. The girls found a way to win. They relied on each other and the experience of the Seniors to sometimes just figure it out. - The girls winning 2 games while Coach Davis was out with a concussion. Coach Honaker and the girls rallied together to beat two quality teams in Osan and Daegu. Daegu was probably the most improved team over the season and Osan always has pieces that give them match up problems. - ACSC - It's tough to go into ACSC and lose as many games as the girls did when they had so much success in the KAIAC season, but they made the school proud by how they played. They kept digging even despite the hardships.
