Season Summary
Jenny Lee and Joshulyne Park led the Girls Varsity Tennis team this year as both the captains and the first and second seed for singles. Overall, the girls had a good season and represented YISS well from the beginning of the season to its end at Far East.
Joshulyne, Jenny, Dongmin and Amanda also finished the season strong by representing the girls at Far East in Japan, placing second among the girls from the other division two teams. Amanda also partnered with Nick Kim at Far East in mixed doubles, making it all the way to the semifinals where they took fourth place.
The seniors were Joshulyne and Lumina Lee, who both led the team well through their example and care and saw the girls through another great season. The team will miss them next year but are excited to continue representing YISS tennis well in their place.
Dongmin Koo played third singles, and Amanda Lee and Judy Park partnered up to form the first doubles team for the season. Jenny took all-conference, and the second doubles team, made up of Joanne Ryu and Cathy Park, ranked second among the second doubles teams for the season with only one loss out of seven matches.
