12/8/14 ENSEMBLE This Concert Week!

THIS WEEK DETAILS December 8-12th FOR ENSEMBLE

Parents & students thanks so much for reviewing the following info carefully. Your added effort is greatly appreciated and incredibly helpful. Here’s the plan:

MONDAY & TUESDAY NOTHING FOR ENSEMBLE!

WEDNESDAY Dec. 10 LUNCH BREAK REHEARSAL

Let me explain why this rehearsal is so important. We need to re-set getting on & off stage, and fine tune a few things. Let’s start singing in the Music Room. Please help each other to remember. Another tip: finish your school work, make-ups, etc ahead of time! Performing students need to be stellar students!

THURSDAY NOTHING FOR YOU BUT THOUGHTS & PRAYERS!

FRIDAY MORNING Dec. 12 8:00AM BEFORE SCHOOL IN THE AUDITORIUM!

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ARRIVE BY 7:45 (hint, hint, hint!)

Come prayed up, warmed up, through the north doors by gym, having chatted a lot already! Truly, coming prepared to sing or not will make or break this early performance. We will NOT be in “outfits”, but regular school clothes for the assembly. Feel free to add a hat or scarf. We will have very little time to address any last minute changes & details. I beg you not to be late today. Please arrive early to put your backpack & coats upstairs BEFORE reporting to the auditorium. The all-school assembly starts at 8:30am sharp. Here is the full morning schedule:

7:45-8:00 Arrival/ everything to lockers

8:00-8:10 SOUND CHECK IN AUD (Chorale’s there too!)

8:15 *Bathroom & come back to side hall by gym

8:25 *Everyone in start positions (Chorale on risers/ Ens gym hall)

8:30-9:15 ASSEMBLY (FYI, we will only perform “Winter Wonderland” this morning after Chorale sings one song. Enter the auditorium as soon as you hear applause! You will sing then exit back out to the side gym hall to join your classes in the back of the auditorium. WAIT until 5th & 6th graders clear the hall to go back in.)

EVENING CONCERT

6:30PM CHORALE & ENSEMBLE WARM UP in Music Room (Auditorium doors open)

(Ensemble only may leave coats in my room)

7:00PM CONCERT Chorale will perform four songs first. You will enter from the gym hall after “ Celebrate the Birthday”. Sing both of your selections as unto the Lord & exit back off to the side. You are free to leave at this point, approx.7:25 pm. Please do not get in the way of the 5th & 6th graders and be quiet in the halls as you exit. Thanks so much! We will par-tay next Wed at lunch ;o)
