11-06-14 Chorale News to Chew!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ARE ALMOST HERE!

Well friends, things have been rolling along the last couple of weeks. We are having a grand old time at rehearsals, dancing the minutes away. It is however, the proverbial calm before the storm- fair warning! We have quite a bit to accomplish towards being performance ready. Our next After School Practice is Tuesday, November 18th. Please help your child be successful by clearing schedules so they can rehearse fully with the group. I appreciate your efforts very much! Until then, we only have short, limited rehearsals during lunch recess. That’s just 17 minutes a week! Please join me in praying that God would multiply our time and that our hearts would remain focused on pursuing excellence for Him!

REMINDERS FOR YOUR KIDDOS THIS WEEKEND PLEASE:

-LYRICS now all memorized (hot spots “Sing of Xmas” & “Celebrate”)

-CHOREOGRAPHY practiced at home & danced with joyful expression (mirrors!)

-NEXT WEEK AT LUNCH Everyone together, Mon. 11/10 (due to Tues off)

PARENTS: CHORALE OUTFITS & CONCERT COSTUMES HEADS UP

-FYI, it’s okay for kids to wear Chorale Shirts tomorrow, Friday for Spirit/ Honored Guest Day

-Chorale Outfits needed first for Washington Square 12/4: T-shirts, black pants & black shoes

-Girls may choose to wear black ANKLE length maxi skirts this year

-For the morning assembly on 12/12, students will wear regular school clothes

-For the evening concert on 12/12, Chorale members will arrive & start the concert in their Chorale outfits. Please fasten your seatbelts, heads up, but don’t panic....

- For the rest of the concert, the David’s Dynasty portion, they will need to have a simple Bible times look. I will be sending home more info on this soon. Please think simple. Think hand towel & headband. Think scarf over the head or draped over shoulders. Think robe belt or tie. Think sheet and rope. Think big plain shirt or robe over Chorale. Think fabric remnant or table runner from the dollar store. Think anything that can go on super fast while re-lining up in the hall, presto-chango, faster-than-ever-o! (This will not be a go to the restroom and change your outfit deal. More like a my-non-Chorale-friend-or-teacher-has-my-stuff-in-line deal) Again, more info will be coming soon, but I wanted you Chorale folk to get a head start because I luv ya!
