Good morning students & parents!
STUDENTS:
Fantastic to see you students yesterday. You efforts are beginning to pay off and you’re performing with expression. The remaining tips I have for you are:
Exaggerate your facial expressions & loosen up... even more! And then some!
Thursday Afternoon @ 2:40, stun the 5th graders by loudly bursting in down the aisles during “Hark the Herald...”!
Friday morning, arrive having warmed up already. This is truly a make or break deal!
Stay healthy. Drink water. Drink more. Keep up on your school work. Get enough sleep.
There’s more for info for you below- including PAR-TAY details!
PHOTOS! HOW CUTE ARE YOU?! HERE are pictures from the farm! Thank you Mrs McFarland, Mrs Steyn, Mrs Fausto and the whole Drew Coleman Team! We will be adding both more farm photos and party photos to this album next week. And yes, Friday concert photos and video will also be sent to you next week!
FRIDAY MORNING REPEATED DETAILS (7:20ish) 7:30 AM BEFORE SCHOOL ON THE RISERS!
You need to come warmed up, and PUT EVERYTHING AWAY IN YOUR LOCKERS FIRST! Then hustle downstairs. We will be wearing regular school clothes for the assembly. If you’d like to add scarves, hats, mittens- totally ok! We’ll have very little time to address any last minute changes & details. I beg you not to be late Friday. This is our ONE rehearsal with Chorale for the opening. Again, please arrive early to put backpack & coats in lockers BEFORE reporting to the auditorium by 7:30. The all-school assembly starts at 8:30am sharp. Maybe even a tad earlier. Here is the full morning schedule:
7:15-7:25 Arrival/ everything to lockers
7:30 SOUND CHECK ON RISERS
8:05 Bathroom & return to side hall
8:15 Start positions. Doors open.
8:30-9:15ish ASSEMBLY
MORE IMPORTANT ASSEMBLY INFO FOR STUDENTS: You open with “Xmas in Black & White”, then exit after my prayer into hallway. REORGANIZE yourselves into your 2 rows, ready to peel off for your return AS SOON AS you hear applause for “Celebrate the Birthday”! You will sing only 2 songs then exit back out the side aisles FAST, leaving the auditorium. You have 4 songs to get in your “Hark/ Hallelujah Chorus” lines in the back, ready to return. We will not be doing Hall Chorus in the morning, but come up on risers singing “Hark” anyways.
