11-14-13 Next Week and new W to W Details

Post date: Nov 14, 2013 11:41:18 PM

Wow, this week has zoomed right by! Today I have reminders of next week’s rehearsals, as well as some new, important details for our Wheel to Walk performance (Sunday, Dec. 8th).

CHORALE: Next Tuesday, November 19th is our after school rehearsal, 3:00-4:10pm. We will also have our girl/boy lunch rehearsals as well.

7/8 ENSEMBLE: Next Tuesday, November 19th Lunch Recess for ALL (LYRICS!)

As you know, we will be singing at the Wheel to Walk Foundation’s 21st Annual Christmas Luncheon. This non-profit purchases medical equipment for children with disabilities. Our WHCS students are quite familiar with this organization and have often voted to donate some of the Book Fair profits to the cause. You can find out more at www.wheeltowalk.com . This closed performance will require your child to be at the Sheraton for about 50 minutes on Sunday, December 8th. Plan on roughly between 12:55-1:45 p.m. Choir members will be dropped at the front, escorted back & then returned for pick-up, carpool style. Parents, you need not even get out of your car. We are unable to have adults waiting in the hotel. Thankfully, there are all kinds of shops and restaurants right there at Cascade Station to briefly hang out at. (Can you say IKEA?!) If you would prefer to attend the entire luncheon and see the performance, please check out the website above for tickets ($30 adults/$12 child). Click on the Fundraising link where you’ll see a picture of Chorale and be able to make your purchase. Chorale families have attended in the past, simply excusing their performing children from the table at 1:00 to meet up with the troops. I’m excited to represent WHCS out in the community and serve such a fine organization.

The week after Thanksgiving we kick into high gear!

You’ve seen the dates & facts already. I’m going to let you enjoy another week of relative peace before I launch into details of all that very near future. Head’s up, I will be asking for some very specific parent help over the next month as well. I’m looking forward to our two busy, but joy-filled weeks of performances with these groups. They bless me so!

Thanks for your continued prayers!
