9-23-16 Chorale is up & running!

Good afternoon Chorale parents!

FIRST- THE EXCITING FACTS:

* There are 62 Chorale members already!

* Lunch rehearsals continue next week with 6th graders back!

* This coming Tuesday, September 27th is our first monthly after school rehearsal, 3:05-4:00 pm!

* I’m so excited to have this group of wonderful kids performing for Jesus!

IMPORTANT & IMMEDIATE DETAILS:

***Girls rehearse at lunch recesses on Mondays; boys at lunch recesses on Wednesdays. The 5th graders started off with a bang this past week. Now our 6th graders have returned and we are ready to begin full swing together!

***Again, this Tuesday, September 27th is our first COMBINED monthly rehearsal, AFTER SCHOOL, 3:05-4:00 p.m. We will use every minute we have, and I will finish right at 4:00 sharp. Details:

***Chorale members will be dismissed and directed to the red doors on the north side of our building, between the auditorium and gym. We will load your cars with these budding stars at the steps, a la carpool style. Please have your name signs visible. For safety reasons I will not be dismissing students to walk thru the parking lot. Thanks for helping me in this safety matter.

***I would like to thank you even now for being on time for pickup. Last year’s parents rocked this! Students who are not picked up in a timely matter will be checked into After School Academy, resulting in a small charge. Chorale students need to be supervised after rehearsals if staying on campus for any amount of time. They may not be left unsupervised to watch games or play on the playground. Thanks ahead of time for emails (by noon) regarding plans for your students to drive home with another family or to be “handed over” to another parent supervisor. Your child’s safety is our concern.

***I cannot express to you how important these few once-a-month after school rehearsals are. A handful of minutes at lunch is simply not enough. Thank you for making this monthly commitment a priority. Our goal is to honor the Lord with excellence and I so appreciate your sacrifice of time and effort! For His glory!

***Cds have already been given out. If your student needs one, they may snag one in the music room.

***Lyric sheets are available on the Chorale Page of the WHCS Music website

***We are now confirmed for our performance at Washington Square Mall, Thursday, December 1st at 6:00p.m. This is a quick one, folks. Meet there at 5:55ish, done by 6:30pm at the very latest!

***All Chorale members need black pants and black shoes for performances (nice black tennis shoes ok!)

***Heads up for boys only- please be on the lookout for an “ugly Christmas sweater” for your son.... really ugly.... Like capital U. We will be surprising our audiences with a fun “spoof” on this crazy phenomenon.
