Greetings Ensemble students and families~

Happy Thanksgiving week! Here some details regarding our upcoming performance week #1. Obviously, “Farm” details are only for those who will be joining us for that extra performance opportunity. Details for our school concert week will come later. Also listed below are some needs for parent help. I appreciate your consideration very much!

NEXT WEEK: Monday, Dec 2 thru Saturday, Dec 7

Students, during the school week, Tues & Fri class rehearsals IN THE AUDITORIUM

“Farm” Performance: Saturday, Dec. 7th 12:30 Check in/ 2:30 pm pick up

“FARM” REMINDERS Coleman Team Party @ Hoffman Farm

1. Students need to arrive dressed warmly in festive red & black caroling attire. Check in with chaperone or Mrs B, 12:30pm by the little covered shed.

2. We will carol twice for about 20 minutes each session, starting at 1:00 and 2:00 in the barn. Students will be given free time to eat & explore in between. The Ensemble will finish each session with “Silent Night” and the "O Come All Ye Faithful". Parents, please join us singing this familiar carol & chorus. We will repeat the chorus "For He Alone is Worthy” as well. How awesome it will be to worship our Lord and King in this public setting! May we represent our Lord Jesus with excellence & may He be glorified through it all!

3. Parents, a gentle reminder for you~ please be careful not to create an exclusive "holy huddle", ignoring other party guests. Greet strangers, start conversations. This is a community outreach event. You will be able to see the Ensemble (and their “real” performance pieces) at our concert. Let’s represent Christ with love & common courtesy. Let the light of Christ shine through us all!

4. Students will be released to parents at the end of the second session (approx 2:20) or brought back by the shed for pick up at 2:30pm. Enjoy the party. Wear those school colors proudly. Smile a lot. Again, we represent not only WHCS, but our most worthy Lord Jesus. We GET to do this!

5. Thank a Coleman team member for inviting us into this fabulous event!

HELP NEEDED IN DECEMBER:

1. At the farm on Sat Dec 7th- One parent to help with check in & pick up. Another needed to be my eagle eyes, on high alert, ready to swoop in if any of our kids need assistance during our two caroling sessions. And someone to take photos, please :)

2. WHCS Evening Post Concert Fri Dec 13th- HERE are the needs.

3. Brunch Items needed for our last class, Christmas Party, Tues Dec 17th (Think little smokies, cheese sticks, egg casseroles, pastries, fruit, etc for 19 hungry Middle Schoolers)

I am truly grateful to be with our Middle School students for electives. What a joy! They are such great young people. Please join me in prayer for them during our upcoming rehearsals and performances. Have a wonderful week off and enjoy your Thanksgiving celebrations!
