3-8-20 Updates, Help Needed, Reh NEXT Tues the 17th

Dalmatian parents! Six items on the agenda tonight:

1. MANDATORY AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL NEXT Tuesday, March 17th, 3:00-5:00pm for the entire 4-5-6-7-8 cast on stage for the FIRST TIME! We will finally have a chance to be on stage, now that the Patriotic Program is cleared. Thank you again for making this commitment a priority! This will also be the last day to contribute to our Oregon Dog Rescue Drive. HERE is that wish list. Thank you! If anyone wants to join me on that delivery & photo op- let me know robin.brumley@whcs.org

2. PROPS & COSTUME SEARCH UPDATE Thank you to the parents who have donated and lent us the other items already. We are still in need of:

    1. An old checkbook with checks or deposit slips that can be ripped out.

    2. Fancy feather pen

    3. Maid’s outfit; dress, apron, bonnet/ cap (think Nanny)

    4. Big fishing net (fits over Cruella’s head)

3. SET VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEK & FORWARD!

Mrs Bates is blessing us big time as our visual creative director! Praise the Lord!

*VOLUNTEERS Come to the Art Room THIS FRIDAY, 3/13, from 8:15-9:15.

Painting the Set backdrop:

Monday, 3/16, 8:30-10:30

Wednesday, 3/18, 8:30-10:30

Side Panel decorations:

Monday, 3/30, 8:30-10:30.

Tuesday 3/31,1:00-3:00.

Monday 4/6, 8:30-10:30. SET COMPLETE on 4/10.

4. COSTUMES & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AFTER BREAK!

Final individual student costume/makeup/hair info will be emailed to you before break. Repeated again, here’s what you’ll provide (Labeled & at school by Mon, April 6th):

4/5/6/7/8 Girls- ankle length black leggings & black socks with no markings/label/logo

4/5/6/7/8 Boys- black socks with no markings/label/logo

6/7/8 Leads have individual instructions.

If you have costuming questions or are available to help after break on Wednesday, April 1st, 1:00-3:00pm, with making ears, setting up costume racks, labeling garment bags/tags, please contact Janet Choi at janethjchoi@gmail.com.

5. PARENT ALERT After Spring Break, I will be asking every family for specific help during the week/ weekend surrounding our shows. Details & sign-ups are coming, but be thinking..... locker tag team, four show make-up team, performance and party set-up, clean-up, morning & evening “dressing room” supervisors, dvd & donation tables, laundry, etc. Please hear me on this: although our needs are great, every single job allows you to still watch the performance in full! Thank you ahead of time for your consideration. Parent involvement is critical to your child’s success!

6. PLEASE KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS. The term is soon coming to an end and after break, it’s musical month! We want our hearts to remain focused on excellence as unto the Lord. Continue to encourage your son or daughter to “do the work” (practicing lines, lyrics & dances at home). He is worthy of our very best efforts!
