12-8-14 Concert Week Details Galore!

THIS WEEK DETAILS December 8-12th FOR CHORALE

Parents, thanks so much for reviewing the following info with your kids by tomorrow night. Your added effort is greatly appreciated and incredibly helpful. Here’s the plan:

MONDAY & TUESDAY NOTHING FOR CHORALE!

WEDNESDAY Dec. 10 7:30AM BEFORE SCHOOL Ah! I know! I know!

Let me explain why this rehearsal is so important. We need to re-set our riser formations, practice getting on & off, reset props, set the microphones, set the lights, and fine tune a few changes from our outside performance. Thanks ahead of time for making this early sacrifice. Please have your students enter thru our side doors between the gym & auditorium and be ON THE RISERS at 7:30 sharp. That means arriving a few minutes earlier. Band members that are also in Chorale need to be with me this morning.

THURSDAY NOTHING FOR CHORALE!

FRIDAY MORNING Dec. 12 8:00AM BEFORE SCHOOL ON THE RISERS!

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ARRIVE BY 7:45 (hint, hint, hint!)

Kids need to come warmed up, through the north doors again, having chatted a lot already! We will NOT be in Chorale T-shirts, but regular school clothes for the assembly. Please save fresh Chorale shirts & special “costumes” for the evening concert. We have very little time to address any last minute changes & details. I beg you not to be late today. Please arrive early to put your backpack & coats upstairs BEFORE reporting to the auditorium. The all-school assembly starts at 8:30am sharp. Here is the full morning schedule:

7:45-8:00 Arrival/ everything to lockers

8:00-8:10 SOUND CHECK ON RISERS

8:15 *Bathroom, Check in with teachers & return to risers

8:25 *Everyone in start positions (Chorale on risers/ Ens gym hall)

8:30-9:15 ASSEMBLY (FYI, we will only perform “Blk & White” this morning)

EVENING CONCERT Dec. 12 6:20pm Arrival Details

6:20 Arrive early, DRESSED IN CHORALE UNIFORM, with “David Dynasty” costume/ accessories IN A GROCERY BAG LABELED WITH YOUR NAME. Drop off coats to lockers and bags TO YOUR CLASSROOM BEFORE 6:30pm. & head downstairs.

6:30PM CHORALE/ ENSEMBLE WARM UP in Music Room

Auditorium Doors open

7:00PM CONCERT Chorale will perform four songs first. They will then exit to the back of the auditorium to line up with their classroom. Their BAGS will be waiting there for the quick change.

POST CONCERT - Students may retrieve bags & coats AT THEIR LOCKERS

NON-SCHEDULE, COSTUME IMPORTANT INFO: ALL Chorale students need to have their “David’s Dynasty” costume (even if it’s just a scarf) in a bag, labeled with their names for Friday NIGHT. (Students that have lead parts need their costumes in a bag, labeled, starting WED morning please.)
