Good afternoon Chorale parents!
FIRST THE EXCITING FACTS:
* There are 50 Chorale members already! That’s 65% of our total 4th & 5th graders!
* This coming Tuesday, September 25th is our first monthly after school rehearsal, 3:05-4:00 pm
* Girls rehearse at lunch recesses on Mondays; Boys at lunch recesses on Thursdays.
IMPORTANT & IMMEDIATE DETAILS:
*** Again, this coming Tuesday, September 25th is our first monthly AFTER SCHOOL rehearsal, 3:05-4:00 p.m. We will use every minute we have, and I will finish right at 4:00 sharp. I am aware that volleyball players will take pictures quickly first :)
*** DISMISSAL & PICK UP@4PM will be at the red doors on the north side of our building, between the auditorium and gym. We will load your cars with these budding stars at the steps, a la carpool style. Please have your name signs visible. For safety reasons I will not be dismissing students to walk thru the parking lot. Thanks for helping me in this safety matter. I would like to thank you even now for being on time for pickup. Last year’s parents rocked this! Students who are not picked up in a timely matter will be checked into After School Academy @ 4:15, resulting in a small charge. Chorale students need to be supervised after rehearsals if staying on campus for any amount of time. They may not be left unsupervised to watch games or play on the playground. Thanks ahead of time for emails (by noon) regarding plans for your students to drive home with another family or to be “handed over” to another parent supervisor. Your child’s safety is my concern.
*** I cannot express to you how important these few once-a-month after school rehearsals are. A handful of minutes at lunch recess is simply not enough. Thank you for making this monthly commitment a priority. Our goal is to honor the Lord with excellence and I so appreciate your sacrifice of time and effort!
*** CDs of our Chorale tunes have been given out to all members to make memorization easier! There are extra selections only 5th graders will be performing, and then instrumental tracks for Chorale songs. The kids know which are which. Happy sing-a-long and karaoke times!
*** Lyric sheets will also be taken home and are available on the Chorale Page of the WHCS Music website. You can also refer to that website page for updates, schedules, etc.
*** HEADS UP CHORALE “UNIFORMS” All Chorale members will need black pants and black shoes & socks for our December performances (nice black tennis shoes ok). Shirts provided!
