Good afternoon Chorale families!
Update:
The time is here! Our students are doing a fabulous job this week. There’s so much more than just “get on the risers and sing”! Every one of our performances has different set-ups, different repertoire orders, and different staging configurations. Please know that I am purposely taking things a bit at a time, trying not create information overload, nor any unnecessary performance anxiety for your children. As we finish this busy week, please continue to lift up every family involved in prayer!
Washington Square Helpers:
-Esther, Alisha, Tawnya for the boys
-Teresa, our eagle eyes
-Still needed: Photographer! Please email me if you can help.
Repeated information for tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 29th:
5:55pm Call
6:00pm Perform
1. Students need to arrive dressed in their concert black pants and Chorale t-shirts (coats to mom & dad).
2. We will meet BEHIND the risers between 5:50-5:55pm in SEARS courtyard (south mall).Quite honestly, having kids gather & hang out any sooner than 5 minutes beforehand is a total drag. Let’s not get in the way of shoppers and stores. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW ANY CHORALE MEMBERS OR SIBLINGS ON THE RISERS AT ANY TIME.
Another head’s up: we will need floor space in front of the risers as our boys & girls take turns performing. Therefore, please have siblings on the floor safely BEHIND the director music stand/sound cart. Thanks!
3. Please be careful not to create an exclusive "holy huddle", ignoring shoppers and passers-by. This is a community outreach event~ a gentle reminder that you will be able to see Chorale again at the assembly and/or concert next week. Let’s represent Christ with dignity & common courtesy, and let His light be available for our community to witness as our students share.
4. If your child should be late, your student may join the SIDE OF THE FRONT ROW, BETWEEN SONGS ONLY. Please help them calm themselves before scooting in.
5. We will perform 6 songs starting at 6:00 sharp, after a brief photo op. Then we will sing “Silent Night” and "O Come All Ye Faithful". Please join us singing this familiar carol & chorus. We will repeat the chorus "For He alone is Worthy” as well. In the past, it has been simply awesome to hear kids & parents together worshiping our Lord and King in this public setting.
6. Students will then be released to you from the risers. Enjoy the mall. Wear your school gear! And Chorale members rock those shirts proudly! Tip well! We GET to do this!
I am delighted to have this community opportunity. I’m aware it comes with a price to family time and I want you to know how much that is appreciated. Again, may we represent our Lord Jesus with excellence, and may He be glorified!
