7/8 Seussical Parent Reminder

Good morning Seussical Parents!

Thank you for your quick responses for your child to rehearse & perform. Upon your permission, your child should have received a cd of the show. Auditions continue during school hours for specific parts, although many parts will not be cast until January. I am excited about this cast already!

If you have NOT YET responded to my previous email giving your child permission, here is the repeated information in blue below. Please respond by THIS FRIDAY, DEC 1st, so I may release a cd to your student. Thanks so much!

Your student has chosen to be in the Spring Musical Elective starting in January. They will be part of a large cast of 5th-8th graders presenting “Seussical!”, on Friday, April 27, 2018. This class includes a commitment to the following OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL DAY rehearsals (mostly in April). Due to this requirement, we are asking for official parent commitment/ approval. Here are the mandatory dates & times for you to consider:

***Tuesday March 20 3:05-5:00pm in Auditorium

***Tuesday April 10 3:05-5:00pm in Auditorium

***Tuesday April 17 TECH 3:05-5:00pm in Auditorium

***Tuesday April 24 RUN THRU 3:05-5:00pm in Auditorium

***Thursday April 26 DRESS 3:05 5:00pm in Auditorium

***Friday April 27 7:15am Call/ 8:30 ASSEMBLY (Cast Party @ Lunch & Recess)

6:15pm Call/ 7:00pm SHOWTIME

Please note: After the show, 8th graders will go to the DC Trip elective class. 7th graders will stay in music. Also, many 7/8 cast members often choose to be at our Jan/Feb after school rehearsals, Jan 30 & Feb 27 (encouraged, but not req’d).

We are delighted to offer our older students opportunities to excel in vocal music performance and have been very pleased with their response. At this time we ask for your parent email reply of confirmation by noon on Friday, December 1st, please. Upon your permission, your student will be given a “Seussical” cd with all the musical selections.
