10-25-13 Notes for Chorale

Good evening Chorale parents! Some notes for you tonight.....

* We had a fantastic rehearsal Tuesday after school! What a treat to rehearse in the room with the new air conditioning. Thanks so much for your auction purchases and ongoing support of our school. The students really benefit! Your kids danced so hard, never wilted & could have gone on and on. They walked out hootin’ and hollerin’! Soooo much fun!

*Also on Tuesday, I appreciated your quick pick-up. Just a gentle reminder that Chorale students need to be supervised after rehearsals if staying on campus for any amount of time. They may not be left unsupervised to watch games or play on the playground. Thanks for emails regarding your plans for students to drive home with another family or be “handed over” to another parent supervisor. Your child’s safety is my concern.

Please keep those T-shirts looking nice and remind your student they are for our Christmas performances and special T-shirt days only (once per term).

*Got black pants and black shoes? You could go to the mall performance early, and I promise y’all, you would not be the first, but...

*Speaking of the mall, I have yet to get confirmation on our performance date from Washington Square. Ugh, I know! I have requested Thursday, Dec 5th at 6:00pm. I will let you know the minute I get confirmation. Let’s P.U.S.H. -Pray Until Something Happens!

*Our next After School Practice is Tuesday, November 19th. Please help your child be successful by clearing schedules so they can rehearse fully with the group. I so appreciate your efforts! Until then, we only have short, limited rehearsals during lunch recess. That’s just 17 minutes a week! Please join me in praying that God would multiply our time and that our hearts would remain focused on pursuing excellence FOR HIM!

PS We are all tackling the tough center section of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus next week in music classes. Chorale cd track 41 is the 6M & 5R part. Track 42 belongs to 6J and 5P. Please encourage your child to take a listen, or start a carpool choir of your own! I thank you!
