Sărbătoarea Învierii Domnului este păstrată cu strictețe în Moldova, unde tradițiile și obiceiurile sunt transmise din generație în generație.
The Feast of the Lord's Resurrection is strictly preserved in Moldova, where traditions and customs are passed down from generation to generation.
Un element central al acestor sărbători Pascale la moldoveni îl reprezintă pasca. Gospodinele fac pască dis de dimineață, după care o duc la Biserică pentru a fi sfințită în noaptea de Înviere. Dimineață, credincioșii mănâncă din sfânta pască în loc de anafură sau cunoscutul paști.
A central element of these Easter holidays among Moldovans is the pasca. The housewives cook pasca early in the morning, after which they take it to church to be sanctified on the night of the Resurrection. In the morning, believers eat from the holy pasca instead of anaphora or the well-known Easter.
Spre deosebire de alte zone, în Moldova, în noaptea de Înviere, pe lângă slujba în care se cântă „Hristos a Înviat”, credincioșii marchează momentul cu împușcături sau pocnitori. Acestea au rolul de a alunga spiritele rele.
Unlike other areas, in Moldova, on the night of the Resurrection, besides the service where "Christ is Risen" is sung, the faithful ones mark the moment with shootings or firecrackers. They are designed to drive evil spirits away.
Tot în această noapte, fetele nemăritate merg la biserica și spală clopotnița cu apă neîncepută, iar dimineață se spală cu ea pe față pentru a fi îndrăgite de băieți neînsurați din sat. Potrivit tradiției, băieții care nutresc sentimente pentru fetele nemăritate trebuie să meargă la casele lor și să le ofere un ou roșu.
Also on this night, the unmarried girls go to church and wash the bell tower with unceasing water, and in the morning they wash their faces with it to be loved by unmarried boys in the village. According to tradition, boys who harbour feelings for unmarried girls have to go to their homes and offer them a red egg.
În Câmpulung Moldovenesc, oamenii se strâng dis-de-dimineață în curtea Bisericii, se așează în formă de cerc, purtând lumânari aprinse în mână și așteaptă venirea preotului pentru a le sfinții bucățele din coșul pascal.
In Câmpulung Moldovenesc, people gather in the churchyard early in the morning, place themselves in the shape of a circle, carrying lit candles in their hands and wait for the coming of the priest to sanctify the pieces of the Paschal basket.
Fiecare credincios are câte un coș pregătit după orânduiala strămoșilor. Coșul este acoperit cu un prosop țesut cu modele specific zonei, iar în el sunt așezate pe o farfurie simbolurile bucuriei pentru tot anul precum: semințe de mac, sare, zahăr, făină, ceapă și usturoi.
Each believer has a basket prepared according to the order of the ancestors. The basket is covered with a towel woven with patterns specific to the area, and in it, the symbols of joy for the whole year are placed on a plate, such as poppy seeds, salt, sugar, flour, onions and garlic.
Semințele de mac sunt aruncate în râu pentru a alungă seceta, sarea trebuie păstrată peste an pentru a aduce belșug, zahărul este folosit la vitele bolnave – se spune că are puteri miraculoase, făina pentru că rodul grâului să fie bogat, iar ceapa și usturoiul au rol de protecție împotriva insectelor. Deasupra acestei farfurii se așează pască, șuncă, brânza, bani, flori, sfeclă roșie cu hrean și, bineînțeles, ouăle roșii.
Poppy seeds are thrown into the river to banish drought, salt must be kept over the year to bring plenty, sugar is used in sick cattle – it is said to have miraculous powers, flour for the fruit of wheat to be rich, and onions and garlic have the role of protection against insects. Above this saucer sits the pasca, ham, cheese, money, flowers, beetroot with horseradish and, of course, the red eggs.
După sfințirea coșului pascal, ritualul de Paști se continuă în familie.
After the consecration of the Paschal basket, the Easter ritual continues in the family.
