Ronald Mac White

Ronald Mac White, 74, of Rockville, passed away Oct. 30, 2014, at his residence.

He was born March 27, 1940, at Rockville, son of the late Clarence Edward White and Mary Kathryn Butler White.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Jack E. White and a granddaughter, Davonda Renee Brown.

He was a retired Rockville High School principal and former member of Parke County Sheriff’s Merit Board, Rockville Elks and was president of Dee Clay Products, Inc., and he farmed. He owned White’s Feed Service, coached Little League. His passion was training German Short Hair Pointers, his favorite bird dog was named Riley. He also trained quarter horses for show.

His memberships included Parke-Vermillion Teachers Association, Indiana State Teachers Association and he was a former member of the Rockville School Board. He graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 1958 and

has an industrial arts degree, master’s degree and an administrative degree from Indiana State University.

He taught at Turkey Run High School, was the assistant principal at Rosedale and North Vermillion Schools and was high school principal at Rockville from 1994 until 2002 when he retired.

He married Karen Dee on June 28, 1959, and she survives. Also, surviving are daughters, Tammy (Bill) Bettis and Ronda Brown (former husband David Brown), all of Rockville; a son, Ron (Stacey) White, Rockville; a brother, Robert (Linda) White, Crawfordsville; sister-in-law, Vera White, Bellmore; granddaughters, Meagan White and Davanda (Dee-Dee) Brown; grandson, Logan White; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 3 at Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College St., Rockville, IN., with Pastor Dave Marty and Pastor Dale Payne officiating.

Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2. Burial will be at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.
