KINGMAN, Ind. - Leah Peperak, 17, of Kingman, died at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2000) in the emergency room at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton.

She was born July 2, 1983, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Wanda (Williams) and Kevin Peperak. She was a senior at North Vermillion High School and a vocational student at South Vermillion High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin A. Peperak, maternal grandfather Robert B. Williams, and paternal grandfather Anthony Peperak. She is survived by her parents, Wanda Peperak-Emery and Rick Emery of Kingman; her brother, Matthew D. Peperak, also of Kingman. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Williams of Terre Haute; paternal grandparents, Alice Peperak of Clinton, Carol and Bill Emery of Hillsdale and great-grandmother, Eva Spence of Clinton.

Uncles, Robert and Cleo Williams of Cleveland, Tenn., Buck and Elsa Williams of Terre Haute, Ted and Betty Williams of London, Ky., Jack and Jessica Williams of Wingate, Michael and Linda Peperak of Fairview Park, Robert and Vicki Peperak of Cayuga, Steve and Terri Emery of Hillsdale, Billy Emery of Hillsdale.

Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton; Officiating: Rev. Steve Vitaniemi; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the funeral home; Burial: Helt's Prairie Cemetery; The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Parke-Vermillion Human Society in her memory.
