MARION P. MARSHALL

PERRYSVILLE, Ind. - Marion P. Marshall, 69, of rural Perrysville, died at 9:41 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

He was born Aug. 7, 1931 in Highland Township, Vermillion County, Ind., the son of Vernon and Genevieve Prather Marshall. He was married to Lois Hollowell on Sept. 25, 1949, in Gessie. They were married for 51 years. She survives. Other survivors include: three daughters, Dianna (Howard) Hall of Springfield, Mo., Nancy (Steve) Starkey of Perrysville and Martha (Fred) Williams of Perrysville; one son, Dennis (Bobette) Marshall of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Rouse of Danville, Ill., and Vivian Hughes of Covington, Ind.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Karen Sue Marshall, a grandson Damien Williams, and a brother Austin Marshall.

Mr. Marshall was a retired farmer and a retired school bus driver of 33 years for North Vermillion School Corporation. He attended the Cayuga Christian Church. He was a former member of the Cayuga Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and his friends.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Visitation: 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the funeral home; Burial: Hopewell Cemetery in Rileysburg, Ind.
