Cpl. Jonathon W. Watson, 20, of Georgetown, passed away on Sept. 3, 2008, at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He was born on Jan. 6, 1988, in Texas, the son of Philip D. Watson Sr., and Regine Martin. Jonathan is survived and missed by his father, Philip of Ironwood, Mich.; his mother, Regine of Georgetown; and his two brothers, Philip D. Watson Jr. of Danville and Vincent Watson of Georgetown. Jonathan proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and will be missed by all that knew him. A graveside service for Cpl. Jonathan Watson was held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marines Corps drill team.
