Cook, Marion F.

Marion F. Cook, 71, of Cayuga, passed away 7:38 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born February 8, 1947 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late William R and Frances Ellen (Stingley) Cook.

Marion married Glora R Ping on May 26, 1968 in Danville. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Deena (Mark) Humphries of Danville, Illinois, Ramona (Jeremy Voorhees) Cook of Covington, Indiana, Lawrence "L.D." (Christina) Cook of Cayuga, Indiana, Jeremy (Mindy) Cook of Covington, Indiana and Phyllis (Morris) Craft of Kingston, Tennessee, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by his grandson, P.C. Chomyn, II; two sisters, Barbara Ping and LaNette Cummins and one brother, William R. Cook, Jr.

Marion retired from TeePak in 2008 as a Lab Technician. He attended Mount Hermon Church in Tangier, Indiana and was a 1965 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Marion enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, watching Oak Island, Sasquatch Research and North Vermillion High School sports. Most of all Marion enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Keith Klossner; Burial: Hughes Cemetery in rural Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
