Tressie Marie Drollinger

March 18, 1956 - April 29, 2008

Tressie Marie Drollinger, 53, of Covington, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 29, 2008. She was born March 18, 1956, in Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of Sullivan “Dan” Nogle and Ernestine Beede Nogle Tressie married Kenneth W. Drollinger on Nov. 2, 1974, in Cayuga. All of whom survive her. Other survivors include: two daughters, Kelly (William) Kuntz, and Kaitlin Drollinger; one granddaughter, Izabel Marie Kuntz; two brothers, Sullivan “Bud” (Teresa) Nogle Jr. of Greenwood and Scott (Sharon) Nogle of Cayuga; father and mother-in-law, Harold (Rosemary) Drollinger of Kingman; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tressie was a teacher at Covington Elementary School, where her love and good deeds made an impact on numerous young lives. An active member of the West Liberty Church of Christ in rural Covington since 1974, Tressie lead Bible studies and was a Sunday school teacher.

She was a 1974 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Tressie started the Small World Preschool in Cayuga. She later worked at the Cayuga Christian Church Preschool. Tressie was a volunteer for the Women’s Resource Center in Covington.

She will be remembered as an excellent mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the West Liberty Church of Christ, 2806 W. State Road 32, Covington, IN 47932; Officiating: Pastor Sam Guilliams. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. EDT Friday, May 2 at the church. Contributions may be made to the Women’s Resource Center, 501 Jefferson St., Covington, IN 47932 or the Tressie Drollinger Fund (proceeds of which will go to children in need) in care of Covington Elementary School. Tressie was very much involved with her church that she loved, the West Liberty church outside of Covington, In on Stringtown Rd. She owned and taught at her preschool in Cayuga and also the Cayuga Christian preschool. She loved her job of teaching so many young children who grew up learning the word of Jesus. She died April 29th 2008. She made a strong impact on so many who loved and cared for her.
