EUGENE, Ind. - Cheryl Lynn Skinner, 42, of Eugene, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday (June 6, 2001) at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton.

Born Feb. 5, 1959, in Danville, Ill., she is the daughter of Jim and Doris (Barker) Belser. She married Curtis Skinner on Aug. 15, 1998, at the Cayuga Christian Church in Cayuga. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Adam Ray (Diona) Baird of Blandinville, Ill., and Blakely Allen Phelps at home; a daughter, Haley Rae Baird also at home; two stepsons, Chad (Jamie) Skinner and Cory (Michelle) Skinner, both of Perrysville, Ind.; her parents, Jim and Doris Belser of Cayuga; maternal grandparents, Harold and Lucille Barker of Cayuga; two stepgrandchildren; a brother, Craig Belser of Cayuga; a sister, Carol Hazel of Westville, Ill.; special nephew and niece, Cameron and Kirstin Hazel; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Larry Barker.

Cheryl was an LPN working for Nurse Care in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a member of Cayuga Christian Church. She enjoyed her pets and reading. She was a 1977 graduate of North Vermillion High School.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the funeral home; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport.
