Alma Louise Strickland, 64, of Groveland, Florida passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born September 29, 1951 in Clinton, Indiana. Alma worked as a cook.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Strickland, Jr. of Groveland, FL; son, Michael Murdock II (Denise); grandchildren, Doug Ward, Rachelle Ward, Destiney Murdock, Michael Murdock, and Jacob Murdock; great-grandchildren, Jayden Baxter, Anessa Baxter, and Melanie Murdock all of Danville, IL; son, Randy Murdock (Sabrina); grandchildren, Aundrea Ellingwood , Victoria Mae Mitchell , Aurora Murdock, Vanessa Murdock, and Daniel Murdock; great grandchildren, Aidyn Ellingwood and Jace Mitchell all of Crawfordsville, IN; son, Jason Murdock (Holly) Murdock; grandchildren, Tyler Moore, Adrianna Murdock, and LeeAnna Murdock all of Danville, IL; step-son, Shane (Tina) Strickland and grandchildren, Stephen and Alexis Strickland all of Clermont, FL; mother, Blanche (Thomas) Barnhill of Eugene, IN; sister, Rose Miller (John) of Perrysville, IN; nephew, Kevin Copsy; and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Hutson; brother, Danny Hutson; and her grandson, Randall Murdock, II.
Visitation will be held at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Mascotte on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am, Pastor Clinton Story and Pastor Billy Duncan will preside. Interment will follow at Tuscanooga Cemetery.
