Deborah K. (Sprouls) Nolte, was a devoted vocational evaluation practitioner, educator, leader and friend. Deborah K. Nolte, 45, and Briklen S. Nolte, 6, of Wadsworth, Ohio died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Deborah was born April 12, 1955, in Danville, Il, the daughter of Herman and Ruth (Noggle) Sprouls. She married Dennis Nolte on June 1, 1974. He survives. Other survivors include: her parents of Parents of Perrysville, Ind., several aunts and uncles, nieces, great nieces, and a great nephew. She received a BA degree at Indiana State University, a Masters degree from Southern Illinois University, and a PhD from Kent State University. She worked for the Akron public schools, and owned Vocation Evaluation Services. Briklen was born May 10, 1994, in Wadsworth, the son of Dennis and Deborah (Sprouls) Nolte. He attended Montessouri School. Surviving in addition to his father: maternal grandparents; paternal grandmother Louise Nolte of Lapel, Ind,; and aunt, cousins, and second cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Albert H. Nolte. Former resident, son killed in Ohio crash
A former resident and her 6-year-old son were among three people killed Thursday in a three-vehicle crash in northern Ohio.
Deborah K. Nolte, 45, and her son, Briklen S. Nolte, both of Wadsworth, Ohio, were pronounced dead at the accident scene in Brimfield Township in Portage County.
Nolte was born in 1955 in Danville, (Ill). Her parents reside in Perrysville, Ind.
The fatal crash occured about 11:42am Thursday (January 18, 2001) on State Route 53, south of Meloy Road.
The Ohio State Patrol said a pickup driven by (a 36 year old man) was souhbound on State Route (5)3 when he crossed the center line and struck Nolte's northbound 1995 Honda Accord head-on.
Nolte's car spun and struck a northbound car driven by Jaclyn A. Carter, 23, of Youngstown, Ohio. (The pickup) truck flipped on it's top.
(The driver of the pickup) also was killed and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Carter and a passenger, Christopher Jones, 28, Kent., Ohio, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
