Steven Ray Webb, 74, of rural Perrysville, Indiana passed away at The Gibson Hospice Center in Terre Haute in the early hours of Sunday, February 25, 2024. Steve was born the son of James A. and Doris (Aldrich) Webb on September 28, 1949, in Cayuga, Indiana, at the home of his grandparents. Steve married the love of his life, Kathy Barr, on March 6, 1977, in Georgetown, Illinois. She survives.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve graduated from North Vermillion High School in 1967 and Missouri Auction School in 1972. After being drafted into the United States Army, he was deployed to Vietnam as an infantryman. After his return, he became a life-long farmer in the Vermillion County area.

Steve enjoyed horseback riding, working with draft horses alongside his father and brother, squirrel and rabbit hunting, watching westerns, and having great conversation with family and friends over a hot cup of coffee and slice of pie. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Steve’s family would like to give a special thank you to the following: the Urgent Care doctors and nurses at the Danville VA, the doctors and staff in the emergency room at Union Hospital in Terre Haute and The Gibson Hospice Center nurses for their compassion and kindness during a difficult situation.
