Wahl Warne, Joanna Lynn

Joanna Lynn (Wahl) Warne, 58, of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly September 26, 2017 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.Joanna was born December 30, 1958 in Brazil, the daughter of Harry and Brenda (Green) Wahl. She graduated from North Vermillion High School. Following high school, she received her Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science from Indiana State University. Joanna worked at Indiana State University in the Independent Studies Curriculum Department for thirty years. She married the love of her life, John Warne, on August 25, 1979.

Joanna was an avid member of the Clay County 4-H Programs. She served as junior leader and leader. She always loved being very involved with the different programs. Joanna also loved her cats, rock painting (Brazil Rocks Facebook Page) and porcelain paintings, and was a Princess Diana fan.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Cecil ‘Poppy’ Green and Bob Wahl; and cousin, Kelly Green.

Joanna is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Warne; parents, Harry ‘Bud’ and Brenda Wahl; grandmother, Rosemary Green; siblings, Kurt (Kathy) Wahl, Tanya (Alan) Coleman; sister-in-law, Joy (Chuck) Kolar; niece, Sarah Wahl; nephew, Kurtis Wahl; great niece, Adalicia; aunts and uncles, Rhea (Bob) Hood, Randall Green, Jimmy Wahl; cousins, Lisa (Don) Bullerdick, Lanny Green, Miranda (Jeff) Brown, Lottie (Rick) Barcas, John (Carrie) Pell, Kala Hayes, Heath Hayes, Jordan Brown, Lindsey Mauntel, Katie Pell, John M. Pell, Connnor, Dylan, Fischer, and Hollis Barcus; close friends, Michael Ledgerwood, Shelley Mace, and Trina Enders; as well as extended friends and family.

Services will be Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 12pm at French Funeral Home with Pastor Ernie Rush officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10am until time of the service at the funeral home.
