David F. Sconce

David F. Sconce, 51, of Porter, Ind., formerly of Dana, Ind., passed away Monday, July 17, 2006, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

He was born Sept. 20, 1954, in Danville, the son of the late Glenn and Jesse Fern Danner Sconce. He married Theresa L. (Deiotte) Feb. 12, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives. Also surviving: six children, Leslie Jennings and Felicia (Kevin) Siddens, both of Bismarck, Patrick (Nicole) Sconce of Lebanon, Ind., Andrew (Carrie) Sconce of Porter, Ind., Joshua and Gabrielle Sconce, both of Porter, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Jesse and Meghanne Jennings and Jasmine and Abigale Siddens, all of Bismarck, Dalton, Noah, Nicolas and Connor Sconce of Lebanon, Ind.; five sisters, Helen Randal of Chrisman, Merrie Ann (Jack) McMahan and Sara Sell, both of Rockford, Barbara Jenkins of Harvey and Susan (Tom) Sell of Las Vegas; a brother, Glenn (Judy) Sconce of LaPorte, Ind. Preceded by parents and sister, Elizabeth Raifvenck.

Dave was employed by Mittle Steel (formerly Bethlehem Steel) where he was a millwright with 33 years of service.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, Ind., with Father Dennis Blaney officiating; Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 21; Cremation by Calvary Crematory; Memorials: Father Blaney’s Share Foundation with the Handicapped, P.O.
