Lee Ann Burleson, age 31 of Danville, passed away at 9:27 PM Friday, August 15, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street, Danville, 61832 with Kenny Bostwick officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM Wednesday before the service. Following services, Lee Ann will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her name to the Cancer Research Foundation.

Lee Ann was born January 3, 1983 in Danville to Bruce Burleson and Melonie (Laws) Lawhorn. She attended North Vermillion Grade School and High School and went on to attend Danville Area community College. She worked 3 years as a clerk at Super Pantry in Danville. Lee Ann was a member of Cayuga Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening but most of all loved her animals. Lee Ann was able to convince her husband into bringing her home just about any critter.

Lee Ann married the love of her life, Kenny Deck, on August 15, 2014 in Danville. He survives. Also surviving are her son, Michael Burleson; her parents, Bruce (Lovana) Burleson and Melonie (Charles Jr.) Lawhorn; her brothers, Stephan (Amanda) Burleson and Chris (Stephanie) Laws; three sisters, Chasity England, Crystal Day, and Shannon Day; her maternal grandma, Joyce Laws; her paternal grandpa, Howard (Glenda) Burleson; her three aunts, Michelle (Scott) Kinderman, Meisha (Dale) Jumps, and Melinda Laws; in-laws, Ronald and Terri Deck; three brother-in laws, Larry Deck, Troy Deck, and Doug Deck; one sister-in-law, Ashley Deck; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandpa, Claude Laws, Jr., paternal grandma, Joan Burleson, and her great- grandma Helen Jordan. Lee Ann is now joined with her beloved cat, Stripes.
