Kenneth “Kenny” Leroy Wilson, 76, of Perrysville, Ind., went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:20 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 10, 2015, at St. Vincent’s Seton Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born Aug. 1, 1938, the son of Lee Wilson and Mary (Ellis) Wilson in Perrysville.

He was a lifelong resident of Perrysville, graduating in 1957 from Perrysville High School. Kenny was a farmer all of his life and raised Angus cattle. He was a school bus driver for the North Vermillion school district for 42 years.

He attended Stringtown Church of God, was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was very active in his church. He was also active in the work of the Gideon’s International. He loved reading his Bible, and singing Gospel music. He was a fan of the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team.

He loved his family and his church family, and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had traveled to all 50 states, but his favorite site was the Perrysville city limits. In 2013, he took his entire family to Alaska in celebration of 50 years of marriage, and his 75th birthday.

Kenny served his country in the United States Army Reserves.

Kenny married Phyllis Ann Wolter on March 9, 1963 in Gessie.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Wilson, of Perrysville, Ind.; three children, Cheryl (Dan) Bridge of Perrysville, Carol (Keith) Dilts of Perrysville, and Michael (Jodie) Wilson of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, Emily and Samuel Bridge, Rachel and Ethan Dilts, and Anne and Alison Wilson. His mother, Mary (Ellis) Wilson, also survives, along with his sisters, Mary Lee Payne and Weezie (Bob) Roop, and brother, Kendall (Connie) Wilson, all of Perrysville. Ten nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Wilson.
