Sheridan, Rex Alan

August 23, 1948 - February 3, 2001

PERRYSVILLE, Ind. - Rex Alan Sheridan, 52, 285 W. Adams St., Perrysville, died at 11:32 a.m. EST Saturday (Feb. 3, 2001) at St. Vincent Hospital, Williamsport, Ind.

He was born Aug. 23, 1948 in Danville, the son of Arthur M. and Fauniel Jackson Sheridan. He married Patti Sanderson May 5, 1979 at Perrysville United Methodist Church. She survives.

He is survived by his mother of Perrysville; four daughters, Beth Ann (Troy) Brannin of Perrysville, Rebecca Ann (Brent) Wagner of Buffalo Grove, Jenna Dee Sheridan and Sara Marie Sheridan, both at home; two brothers, Arthur M. "Butch" (Nellie) Sheridan of Waynetown, Ind. and Bruce E. (Sharon) Sheridan of Greenwood, Ind.; a grandson, Bradley Brannin of Perrysville; a granddaughter, Bailey Brannin of Perrysville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Rex had been a resident of Perrysville for most of his life. He was a graduate of North Vermilion High School in 1966, the Kentucky College of Mortuary Science and he received his LPN from Danville Area Community College in 2000. He was presently attending RN classes at DACC.

Rex was employed at Bedino Chapel Funeral Home in Terre Haute, Ind., for nine years. He was employed at Olin and Flexel for 20 years.

He was a member of the Perrysville United Methodist Church, West Terre Haute Lodge #687 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite and Zorah Shine of Terre Haute.

Rex was a very devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Funeral services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, Perrysville United Methodist Church; Officiating: the Rev. Larry Platt; Burial: Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. EST Monday at Shelby Funeral Home; Masonic services: 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorials to the American Heart Association.
