TIMOTHY ‘TIM’ R. KING

August 5, 1960 - May 7, 2006

CAYUGA, Ind. — Timothy “Tim” R. King, 45, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:40 p.m. CDT Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville, Ill.

He was born Aug. 5, 1960, in Danville, Ill., the son of Samuel B. and Jane Warnick King. He married Connie S. Dempsey on Oct. 13, 1984, in Newport. He will be deeply missed by Connie and his two sons, Matthew Ray and Lucas Scott, both at home, his parents of Cayuga, two aunts, Connie Warnick of Kingman and Millie Warnick of Cayuga, several cousins and his many, many friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rick E., on Nov. 25, 1971.

He was a 1978 graduate of North Vermillion High School and was raised in the Eugene United Methodist Church. He followed in his father’s footsteps and was a self-employed contractor of King Masonry. He was a member of the Bricklayer's Union Local 8 in Champaign, Ill. He also had worked part time as a realtor.

Tim was an avid sportsman when it came to his two sons concerning football and wrestling. He also enjoyed mushrooming with his father and boys. His love was owning and riding his motorcycle. Tim savored the time he spent with his family and enjoyed being with his friends. He was fun loving and never met a stranger.

Services: 10:30 a.m. EDT (Indiana time) Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Cayuga Christian Church Youth Center; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer and Rev. Glenn Thompson; Burial: Silver Island Cemetery, Kingman; Visitation: 4-9 p.m. EDT (Indiana time) Wednesday, May 10, at the Cayuga, Christian Church Youth Center, 406 S. Logan St. in Cayuga. Contributions may be made to the Matt and Luke King College Fund, c/o First National Bank, 111 S. Main St., Georgetown, IL 61846. DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga in charge of arrangements.
