You see this notice in the bus station of the town where you are studying English.
The town council intends to spend money improving public transport in the area, and invites people who use it to send in proposals for improving the system. In your proposal, you should outline any problems you have had with the local transport, and make recommendations for improving the system in general.
Write your proposal.

Responding to your invitation, I would like to report about some issues of the town public transport system, as well as to suggest some improvements to make it be more reliable and convenient for the citizens.
First of all, I would like to say that the system is huge and very complex. People are able to use trams, buses, trolleybuses and the underground. However, there is no precise schedule of arrivals. Therefore, passengers have to wait on the stops unpredictable period of time having only a gap intervals as a prop of their expectations. What is more, this inconvenience is aggravated by traffic jams, especially in the rush hour.
I deem that the following measures can influence the situation so as to make it better. Firstly, the town council should simplify the transportion scheme by annulling some excessive routes while increasing the number of cars on the others. Secondly, the tickets should be converted from the on-trip form into time-based one. Both changes would work in tandem providing free of charge connection between different means of transportation and a high speed of travelling. Besides, I reckon that organising separated road line for the public vehicles and dividing tram lines from the roads could be a noteworthy idea to prevent cars from blocking trams and coaches.
I am looking forward to your positive decision about implementing my proposals. I am confident that these alterations would be judicious and overdue and can shift the system to a new level of quality and comfort.

Responding to your invitation, I would like to report about some issues of the town public transport system, as well as to suggest some improvements to make it more reliable and convenient for the citizens.
First of all, I would like to say that the system is huge and very complex ranging from trams, buses and trolleybuses to the underground. However, there is no precise schedule of arrivals. Therefore, passengers have to wait for vehicles in the stops for an unpredictable period of time having only gap intervals as props of their expectations. What is more, this inconvenience is aggravated by traffic jams, especially in the rush hour.
I deem that the following measures might influence the situation so as to revamp it. Firstly, the town council should simplify the transportation scheme by annulling some excessive routes while increasing the number of cars on the others. Secondly, the tickets should be converted from the on-trip form into time-based one. Both changes would work in tandem providing free of charge connection between different means of transportation and requiring half as much time for travelling as it is now. Besides, I suppose that organising separated road lines for the public vehicles and dividing tram lines from the roads could be noteworthy ideas to prevent cars from blocking trams and coaches.
I am looking forward to your positive decision about implementing my proposals. I am confident that these alterations would be judicious and overdue and are likely to shift the system to a new level of quality and comfort.
