An Australian friend of yours is attending a language course in your town next month. This is an extract from a letter that he/she has written to you.
Classes are on weekday mornings, so my afternoons and weekends are free. It would be great if you could suggest how I could spend my free time. Perhaps you can suggest a few indoor as well as outdoor activities? Don't forget, I'm not keen on sport!
Write a letter in reply to your friend.

Hi, Alice
I'm ecstatic that you've decided to have language courses in my city. What course have you chosen? As I can remember, you Russian was quite fluent when we met in Sydney last year. Anyway, I think going to Russia, living here and learning language was a brilliant idea because it is a great chance to improve your speaking and listening skills. But I should let you know that in this area people speak a kind of Russian dialect - Ural one. Words are going one after the other almost without pauses and the speech speed is quite fast while, in the same time, many people are gulping endings. From this point of view, my Russian is not perfect too. Sometimes I even cannot understand what I say when I record my speech on my computer. So, if you love challenges, you cannot make a better choice.
As for spending free time, firstly, I hope we will meet and I shall show you the city. I think that it will probably be the most interesting part of your adventure because you can see it with the eyes of a local fellow. I'll show you some fascinating places some of which are my so-called spots-of-power. What else? We have here lots of various theatres, museums, galleries and exhibitions, not counting cinemas. So, if you write me what you prefer, I can decide which of them would be to your taste and plan your visits there. Besides, there are many clubs here, some of them are night ones, the others - board gaming, sporting and so on and so forth. Thus, If you want to play Monopoly or have a masterclass in book scrapping, you won't be disappointed.
You're writing that you're not fond of sport activity but what about horse riding? There are some excellent horse clubs and schools near this city. You can take a course and spend your weekends on trainings and travelling around the city. By the way, the nature here is wonderfull. If you don't mind about hiking, camping, hanging out with local people while sitting around a bonfire, singing and speaking with each other, I will take care about it and plan some weekend trips. So, there are so many opportunities here that I cannot wait to see you soon.
Cheers,
Slava
