What would our life be like with no electricity? It’s a good question.
Some people believe that they could live without electricity easily.
They list the following reasons to explain their statement:
- You would not pay for electricity;
- You would have no problems with electricity and no wires, motors, generators, batteries at all;
- Candle light is very beautiful;
- Your health would not suffer from an electro-magnetic field;
- Noise would cease;
- You would live at eco-friendly environment.
So is this really true?
I think that most of those reasons are ridiculous.
If you want to imagine our world with no electricity you should recollect how people lived in the first part of the nineteen century.
For example, you can read about a candle illumination, cartage and a steam transport in the stories of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I think so because electricity is a natural phenomenon.
If people could not control, get and use electricity, they seem to be in an early stage of science and technological development.
Just think of the fact that we use electricity for almost of the things providing and supporting your comfortable life.
Without electricity, you could not cook dinner, drive a car, use central water supply and sewer system and so on and so forth.
What's more, electricity is a lot eco-friendly source of energy than coal, oil or wood.
I believe that people could not manage without electricity nowadays. We are all too dependent on it.
