2D shapes: Classify two-dimensional shapes and describe their properties
Identify and classify triangles as equilateral, isosceles or scalene triangles

Form groups.
Provide each group with a Triangles handout to cutout and place triangles at the other end of the playing area.
Hoops for sorting shapes.
How to play
How to play
Teams race to collect triangles to sort into categories.
Provide players with 2 or 3 hoops.
Teams decide on their sorting categories.
On go, players take turns to run to the other end, collect a triangle and return it to the appropriate hoop according to their chosen category.
Continue until all triangles have been removed.
Perform a gallery walk to look at each teams sorting and listen to their reasons.

Variations
Students could draw their own triangles.
Change the locomotor movement.
Add 2D shapes as well as triangles.
