Angles: Compare angles to a right angle
Describe angles in comparison to quarter-turns as acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex or a revolution
Indoor or outdoor playing area
Form pairs.
Pairs find a space to play.
In pairs, players explore different angles through turning their bodies – ¼ turn (90 degrees), ½ turn (180 degrees), full turn (360 degrees, with spotting).
Players form pairs, standing about 2 metres apart, facing one another.
Player A calls out an angle (acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex, revolution).
Player B turns to model the size of the angle, eg. acute - less than a 1/4 turn, straight - 1/2 turn.
After each call, players return to facing their partner and call out another angle.
Swap roles.
Jump as players turn.
Players call out degrees rather than angle type.
