Investigate the variety of nets that can be used to create a particular prism
Whistle
Maths Workbook
Print 'Cut nets handout' and cut each net out individually (ensure you print enough copies for there to be one net per student)
Mark a playing area
The aim of this activity is to find a peer with the other part of a net.
Teacher gives each student a net.
Teacher calls out a locomotor skill for students to use to move around marked space.
When whistle is blown students must move to find a student with the other part of their net.
Students discuss the 3D object that is made with their net.
Teacher collects playing cards and redistributes to play again, naming different locomotor skills each time.
1 card between 2 students
Students create their own nets.
Play with fewer nets.
