With the holidays right around the corner, everybody, including myself, is scrambling for gift ideas. Every single year without fail, I blank about what I want during the holiday season, and then I start wanting things directly after December.
I’m here to help you answer the ultimate question: What should you ask for this year? From small gifts to shoes- you’ll fill your list in no time!
Books
You can never go wrong with asking for books. I ask every single year for a new novel. From Gatsby to graphic novels, there isn’t a shortage of books to ask for. For romance, I personally recommend an enemies-to-lovers favorite, “Better Than the Movies,” and its brand new second-chance romance sequel, “Nothing Like the Movies.” For a memoir, last year I asked for “Crying in H Mart,” written by the lead singer of the popular group Japanese Breakfast. For a mystery, the “Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” series is the perfect pick!

2. Lip Gloss
Personally, I go through lip glosses very fast, and as long as you get the right brands, they are relatively cheap. Glossier usually has more expensive ones, starting at 15 dollars, so I always ask for Elf brands.
3. Shoes
Gazelles & Sambas= one of the most popular shoes from Adidas this year. There are a variety of colors, they fit low on the ankles and can be paired with any outfit involving jeans or jorts.
Uggs= The perfect winter shoes no matter the variant. Whether it is the low-fit Tasman Uggs or the classics.
New Balance 550s = The shoes I have personally asked for this year! They are the best unisex shoes I know, offering so many colors with a 90s style.

4. Records
If you have a record player (or if not, add it to the list), vinyl is the perfect gift idea. Almost every one of your favorite artists has made their albums into records for your enjoyment! From Taylor Swift to Talking Heads, records are always a hit!
5. Digital Camera
Last year I asked for a cheap digital camera; it was my best decision! Taking stupid pictures with your friends on a low-quality camera is totally worth the gift ask. If you are looking for high quality- it’s going to be on the expensive side. Cameras like Sony Cybershot and Kodak Zoom might be over 100 dollars, but the pictures are definitely worth it.
