WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Language Arts- Mrs. Phelps

This week we will be writing I Am Poems. Students have been learning about figurative language through poetry and now they will have the opportunity to write their own. I am really excited to see how these turn out!

Below are some pictures from our field trip to the Muhammad Ali Center. We had a great time! I wasn't with all groups and still need to get more pictures from other chaperones, so stay tuned for those.

Homework: Final literature circles- Read and job sheet due Friday- Hooray for reading another book!!!!

Math: Mrs. Bennett

This week in math class, we are learning how to multiply decimal amounts. Students are relying on estimation to help them correctly place the decimal in the product. Students worked on multiplying whole numbers and decimals last week, but will progress to multiplying decimals x decimals. Students will also use their knowledge of multiply fractions to help assess their work with decimals.

*I will not be at school this week because I am chaperoning the 8th grade trip to the Grand Canyon. I will try to check my email at least once a day, but may not always have service or time. If there is something you need answered promptly, please contact Mrs. Crush or Mrs. Phelps and they can call/text me. The sub has everything to run math class as usual! Please utilize Google Classroom in my absence.*
