Just in case you hadn't seen it on my previous entry, I have planned out the Critical Reading / Writing dates:
**************
SAT Countdown
**************
18 Green Days left until in-school SATs. We can do it!
- Writing days: Feb. 24 & 26, March 6 & 10, March 18 & 20, March 30 & April 1
- Reading days: March 2 & 4, March 12 & 16, March 24 & 26, April 3 & 7

Today we:
- started taking notes in our Writing composition notebooks;
- wrote down The 13 Rules of the Writing Test from my book Up Your Score SAT - The Underground Guide
- started working our way through the grammar / mechanics behind the Subject-Verb Agreement Rule (#1) and the Noun-Pronoun Agreement Rule (#2).
- checked that all writing prompts are in - K.L.: I do have your "intellectualism" prompt.
Make sure you can define:
- the subject of a sentence;
- a verb;
- how they relate to one another; and
- how to differentiate between a sentence fragment and a complete sentence.
You should also know how to list and use the subject and object pronouns, as well as the possessive adjectives.
Homework:
- 30 minutes of stretch reading, with reflection in your reading log
- be prepared for a quiz on Quack Lists #1 & #2 on Thursday
- pre-test Quack Lists 3 & 4 for Thursday's class
- study the definitions of: subject, verb, subject-verb agreement, sentence fragment, complete sentence, subject pronoun, object pronoun, and possessive adjective.
