• wrote our names on them
• received Mrs. Huish's contact information (pink sheet), Top 10 Ways to be a Model Student in Mrs. Huish's Class (yellow sheet), and Supply Lists (green sheet)
• wrote down our unit's academic vocabulary and definitions - Quizlet for these terms HERE
• started looking at the Embedded Assessment 1: Writing a Definition Essay (p. 51)
• read the assignment description and completed a Q-H-T on any complicated vocabulary
• completed the majority of Activity 1.1 on p. 4

Homework:

1. study the academic vocabulary (Quizlet link HERE)
2. finish p. 4 (except for the bottom paragraph)
3. purchase and organize supplies on green supply list
