• 20-30 minutes of time on NoRedInk, specifically the "Planning diagnostic quiz for English 11 SAT Prep students"
• based on class results, I then conducted grammar instruction:
  • appositives;
  • colons and semi-colons;
  • subject-verb agreement, reviewing what subjects are, what verbs are, and how they relate;
  • independent and dependent clauses; and
  • coordinating conjunctions.

Today's agenda

• In honor of International Women's Day -- but also not wanting to alienate young men -- we wrote the following prompt, voluntarily shared our responses, had class discussions about empathy-building about the opposite gender's challenges. It was productive, positive discussion which we'll be able to tie to our study of The Crucible.
