- looked again at the essential question: What is the "American Dream"?
- took notes a person in our lives who is a walking, talking example of the American Dream and compared our answers, starring the common traits for future reference (our embedded assessment and the work leading up to it)
- discussed our own ethnic / familial backgrounds, in relation to the immigrant experience
- went over my expectations for annotations and reviewed what it means to QHT a text
- went over the QHT synonyms for terms on p. 1
- went over the QHT synonyms for the assignment section of p. 51 (the embedded assessment)
- checked homework from last time
